I want to donate my time to help people in my community affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

Volunteer of the Month

Featured Volunteer of the Month: June 2024

Volunteer Start Date: January 2024

Time Served: 272 Hours

Caprice recently graduated from CSU Chico with a degree in Psychology. During her Spring 2024 internship with Catalyst, she was a standout volunteer, known for going above and beyond expectations and always with a cheerful attitude. Throughout her internship, she gained valuable experience in various areas, including tabling at community outreach events to provide educational information, answering crisis calls on our 24-hour Hotline, and assisting the Children’s Program at HAVEN with events and field trips.

Caprice’s dedication and hard work were recognized when she received the staff nominated Up-and-Coming Advocate Award at our 2024 Volunteer Appreciation Event. Her decision to volunteer at Catalyst was influenced by the domestic violence experiences of many of her friends and family members. Her favorite volunteering activity is answering hotline phone calls. She says, “It feels good to use my knowledge about domestic violence to help people who are in need or even if they just need someone to talk to.” We extend our gratitude to Caprice for her outstanding and reliable volunteer work.

Fun Facts: Fun Facts: Caprice’s favorite foods are sushi and chicken wings. She loves spending time with her friends, family, and pets. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and reading books. Caprice currently works at a doggy daycare as a Canine Coach and greatly enjoys training dogs.
