Catalyst provides a 24-hour crisis phone line for
victims of domestic violence and anyone wanting information about domestic
violence: 895-8476 or 1-800-895-8476
Shelter
Catalyst provides a confidential shelter maintained for
the protection and safety of victims of abuse and their children.

Drop-in Centers
Catalyst provides drop-in assistance in Chico, Monday through Friday,
10 AM - 4 PM.
Individual Counseling
By appointment in Chico, Oroville, and Paradise.
Support Groups
Facilitated weekly meetings
are provided for women on a drop-in basis in Chico, Oroville and Paradise.
Children's Program
Catalyst provides counseling and at the shelter and at the Chico, Oroville and
Paradise offices.
Legal Advocacy
Temporary Restraining Order
clinics are provided for victims of domestic violence in Chico,
Gridley, Oroville, and Paradise. Accompaniment is provided for
victims who are scheduled to appear in court and/or mediation.
Household
Establishment
Catalyst offers some assistance in establishing a new household for victims of
domestic violence and their children by providing small household items to those starting over.
Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT)
The DVRT program is a collaboration
between Catalyst and the Chico Police, Butte County Sheriff’s, Oroville
Police, Gridley Police, and the
University Police departments. The goal of this collaboration is to
provide immediate support, intervention and referrals to victims of
domestic violence by having volunteers respond to the scene of domestic
violence once the police have arrived and the abuser is secured. DVRT also
provides court accompaniment, case management, and crisis intervention services.
